The version numbers do not run concurrently because although they are obviously related they are separate applications (one is an Oculus Mobile app and the other is a standard Android app). The companion app on the Play Store is the one that is at 2.1.04. Everything is working as expected, as described above. Version 2.00.1 is the version I am running, and the latest version available to me on the Oculus store.

the drive must be formatted with a FAT or exFAT filesystem (obviously). Some things that apply to accessing external storage in general, just so we're being comprehensive (for the benefit of any interested readers out there): Samsung VR only looks for a subset of file types (it wont pick up AVI files for example).Samsung VR will only scan the MilkVR folder on external storage devices (content in other directories wont show up anywhere).the content will only show up in the Sideloaded section (it wont be picked up in the Video section). You should see a new storage folder pop up in the Sideloaded section just like you do when you put content in a "MilkVR" folder on your SD card. This already works, and pretty much always has in my experience. Your SD card files should work, if you use a memory stick or hard drive over USB with a MilkVR folder it probably won't work based on my troubleshooting.
